Date :  08/02/2010
Current and potential investors in Vietnam are invited to a seminar next month which will provide information on the changes to the country’s tax regulations.

Entitled “Essential Insights To Vietnam's Tax Regulations”, the seminar will take place at Amara Singapore on 5 March 2010 and run from 9.00am to 1.00pm.

It will be led by Vietnam tax expert Huong Vu, Tax Partner (Ernst & Young Vietnam) and will cover the changes made to the Corporate Income Tax, Personal Income Tax, Value Added Tax and Foreign Contractor Tax that have been made effective since 1 January 2009.

The seminar will also discuss the impact of the tax reforms on investors, major issues with the implementation of them, compliance and risk management affecting the tax position of companies in Vietnam and the interpretation and practice from the perspective of local tax authorities.

It will also provide an analysis of tax implications for future tax planning and cover the challenges and opportunities in adversity.

In 2009, Vietnam retained its 5 per cent growth and is projected to grow by a further 6.5% in 2010.
