EVFTA which takes into effect from August 1st 2020 is expectedly bringing new opportunities as well as tax preferential for Vietnamese enterprises when exporting to EU. Among countries which have long traditional relationship with Vietnam, Poland, a country located in Eastern Europe, has had the top economic growth in EU, emerging as a bright spot for export. According to the statistics of Vietnam Custom Department, in 2019 the import and export turnover of two countries reached over 1,79 billion USD, increasing 12.3% compared to 2018, in which Vietnam exported 1.5 billion USD and imported 298 million USD.
In order to support enterprises to approach market research, preferential policies for EVFTA from Poland and EU, especially noted forms for exporting into EU market; Investment and Trade Promotion Centre (ITPC) cooperates with Polish Investment and Trade Department Representative Office in HCMC to organize a conference on “Outlook on export to EU through Polish gateway when EVFTA takes into effect” as follows:
